A pinch of Kashmiri sunshine
It takes 75,000 crocus flowers to make 500 grams of saffron — and a single jar of our Ubtan Saffron carries those threads, gently dissolved into a golden cleanser that brightens the way mothers always promised.
For three weeks each autumn, the Pampore valley in Kashmir turns purple. We work with Grade-A "Mongra" growers who hand-pluck the saffron stigmas at dawn — only the deep red tips, only the highest crocin.
Saffron threads are first soaked in warm milk — the ancient way to release crocin and safranal. The golden milk is then folded into our Ubtan base of turmeric, gram flour and rose. Slow. Precise. Surat-made.
A coin-sized squeeze whips into a golden lather. Cleanses gently, brightens visibly, evens tone over weeks. By day fourteen, your skin will quietly admit something has changed.
A short ingredient list — by design. When you have real saffron, you don't need much else.
Grade A "Mongra" saffron — the richest in crocin, the compound behind that golden glow. Brightens, evens tone, and lifts mood with its sun-like fragrance.
Lakadong turmeric works alongside saffron — softer, anti-inflammatory, with a higher curcumin yield than any other Indian variety.
A whisper of rose petal extract softens the cleanse and brings a floral note to balance saffron's warmth.
The traditional ubtan base — gentle exfoliation, oil-balancing, and the soft texture that makes this a cleanser, not just a paste.
Crocin and safranal target dullness at the cellular level — a glow that comes from real radiance, not reflection.
Visibly fades dark spots, sun marks and uneven patches over consistent daily use.
Saffron's sun-warm fragrance is famously mood-elevating — a small, daily reminder to slow down.
One of the most antioxidant-dense spices on earth, protecting your skin from environmental wear.
Splash lukewarm water on your face. Damp skin lets saffron's compounds absorb fully.
A coin-sized amount in wet palms — whip into a soft golden lather.
Leave the lather on for 30–60 seconds. Let saffron quietly do its work.
Cool water, gentle pat dry. Your glow will arrive on its own time.
Real Kashmiri saffron. Real ubtan. Hand-blended in Surat — and unmistakably, visibly different from day one.
