The Cast of Characters

Six botanicals.
One transformation.

Hand-picked across India, blended in Surat.

Every herb, flower and clay in our products has been chosen the way our grandmothers chose them โ€” for what it does, not what it markets. These are their stories.

Gulab ยท Damask Rose

Gulab Rosa damascena

"A rose by any other name would not heal as deeply."

In the fragrant fields of Kannauj and Pushkar, Damask roses are still harvested by hand at dawn โ€” when essential-oil content is at its highest. The petals reach our Surat workshop within 24 hours, where they're slow-dried and powdered without heat damage.

Ayurvedic Root

Known as the "queen of flowers" in Ayurveda, Gulab balances Pitta dosha. Cooling, hydrating, mildly astringent โ€” used since the Charaka Samhita for inflamed and sensitive skin.

Chandan ยท White Sandalwood

Chandan Santalum album

"What the temple knows, the skin remembers."

True Mysore sandalwood is precious โ€” and increasingly rare. Each tree we source from has been aged a minimum of 15 years before its heartwood is harvested under government licence. Slow-ground at low temperatures, our chandan retains every drop of its santalol oils.

Ayurvedic Root

Called Shrigandha โ€” "the auspicious fragrance." Used for centuries to cool fevers, calm the mind, and clear "heat" disorders of the skin like acne and rashes.

Kesar ยท Kashmiri Saffron

Kesar Crocus sativus

"The most expensive spice on earth โ€” earned every gram."

It takes nearly 75,000 flowers to make 500 grams of saffron threads, all hand-plucked from purple crocus blooms in the Pampore fields of Kashmir. We use only Grade A "Mongra" stigmas โ€” the richest in crocin, picrocrocin and safranal, the active compounds behind that legendary glow.

Ayurvedic Root

In Ayurveda, Kesar is one of the rare ingredients that balances all three doshas. Traditionally given to expecting mothers โ€” to brighten the unborn child's complexion. The royal recipe for radiance.

Haldi ยท Turmeric Root

Haldi Curcuma longa

"The colour of every Indian wedding โ€” and every Indian glow."

We use Lakadong turmeric from Kerala โ€” the variety with the highest curcumin content in the world (over 7%, against the industry's 2%). Sun-dried, stone-ground, never irradiated. The way it was meant to be.

Ayurvedic Root

Called Haridra โ€” "the golden one." Central to the pre-bridal Haldi ritual for centuries, used to purify skin, dispel infection and reveal the bride's natural glow on her wedding day.

Neem ยท The Village Healer

Neem Azadirachta indica

"The tree that asks for nothing and gives everything."

Every village in India has a neem tree. We work with farmer collectives in Maharashtra and Karnataka who hand-strip the leaves, shade-dry them, and grind them slow โ€” preserving the nimbidin and azadirachtin compounds that make neem the original antibacterial.

Ayurvedic Root

Known as "Sarva Roga Nivarini" โ€” "the curer of all ailments." Mentioned in over 50 Ayurvedic treatises for blood-purification, acne, and lasting skin health.

Multani Mitti ยท Fuller's Earth

Multani Mitti Calcium Bentonite Clay

"The clay that listens to your skin."

Mined from the arid earth of Rajasthan, this calcium-bentonite clay has been used in Indian beauty rituals since at least the Mughal era. Its negatively-charged particles bind to positively-charged toxins โ€” drawing them out of your pores without stripping your skin.

Ayurvedic Root

Multani Mitti pacifies aggravated Pitta and balances oily Kapha-type skin. Cooling on contact, deeply absorbent, and gently exfoliating โ€” the original Indian face mask.
